The Branch Journal
The Oxfordshire Branch Journal is a form of occasional diary to which a small number of people at any one time (the contributors) may add entries or 'postings'. The aim is to provide a forum for spreading information about common problems or issues and how to cope with them or find support.
Contributors can, of course, write about anything, but currently the Journal is set up for such issues as mobility, travel, and services. More topics will be added as appropriate.
People reading the Journal may comment on any posting, using a form on the website (see below), to take part in a community that shares experiences.
Contributors
| Moira lives with her son in a village west of Oxford and enjoys travel. | |
| Peter is a contributor who lives in Northampton. | |
| Jeannette is a contributor who lives in Oxford but is currently in Australia. | |
| David is a contributor who lives with his wife, Susan, and two young children just outside Oxford. They are very innovative. | |
Using the Journal
Please click on the link to go to the Journal.
The first page you will see contains the latest Journal entry - this is the Journal Home page. Towards the bottom of the page there is a reference to the contributor and the date and time of this posting.
There is also a form for sending in any comments that you would like to make about the entry. Please enter your name and an email address (which is not displayed) by which we may contact you if you have any queries. Then enter your comments in the text box and click the Submit button.
After a short delay, the comment will be accepted, but it will not appear immediately. All comments are mediated before they are added to the Journal, in order to avoid potential problems.
On the left hand side at the top of the page, there is a search box, to allow you to find any entries that match the word or phrase that you type in. There are also links to enable you to look at all the entries for a given month or all the entries listed under any topic.
If you have any problems with using the Journal or any questions about it, please contact the website administrator.
